NATURAL BIOSTIMULANT
Vitazyme is an all-natural liquid biostimulant, consisting of particular biological activators that are created through a proprietary fermentation process. These active agents include vitamins, enzymes, triacontanol and other powerful but gentle growth stimulators.
As a foliar spray, Vitazyme is relatively easy to apply. There is a need for transitioning agricultural systems to naturally sourced amendments, reducing the need for synthetic chemical inputs. It is clear that an optimal growth program will involve multiple inputs, a combination of nutrients, biostimulants and safer pesticides and herbicides. In our first trial with Vitazyme, it increased fruit production over the grower’s standard conventional program. In the future, it will be of interest to test Vitazyme with other naturally sourced nutrient inputs to establish a new grower’s program for crops grown under controlled conditions and on the field. We hope that these efforts will lead to improved food production and minimize the environmental impact of agriculture on the planet.

GREENHOUSE CONDITIONS
VITAZYME SHOWN TO INCREASE TOMATO YIELD BY 50% IN GREENHOUSE TRIAL
We conduct multitude of greenhouse studies, including yield trials, drought, abiotic stress trials and customized product efficacy trials. Our greenhouse offers controlled environment, customized water and nutrient inputs in a highly secured facility.
i-Cultiver is commited to conducting these studies with the highest standards, our studies are often published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. The results of these studies can be used for claim validation, marketing, regulatory purposes and product mode of action.
Vitazyme liquid biostimulant was tested on greenhouse grown tomatoes. We found that Vitazyme significantly increased tomato yield. The total number of tomatoes produced were increased by 54% and the weight of tomatoes produced was increased by 18% compared to untreated plants. This study shows data from one trial (N=8 plants) performed in the year 2021. Additional trials are being performed to test the reproducibility of this study. Work presented here was performed by i-Cultiver, which independently provides technical analysis and consultation services to agriculture, food and forestry industries.
Table 1. Vitazyme treatment increased fruit production. Total number and weight of tomatoes produced was determined. Standard error (SE) is shown (superscript). Total tomato values calculated from 8 plants per treatment type.

GREENHOUSE LOCATION: Albany, California
TIME FRAME: 75 Days
WATERING: 3x Per Week Watering / Hand Watered
ADDED NUTRIENTS: Standard Fertilizer 20/20/20 (weekly)
TREATMENT DETAILS: Vitazyme treated plants were treated according to manufacturer’s instructions by spraying 1% solution (1 ML/100 ML) on leaves and over soil surface (root zone) to the dripping point. It was applied every two weeks throughout the active growth phase, until flowering stage.
The total volume of 1% spray needed per plant increased for each application as the plants grew bigger. The control plants did not receive Vitazyme spray.

Fig 2. Number and weight of tomatoes produced per plant. The total number (a) and weight (b) of tomatoes produced per plant are plotted. Treatment with Vitazyme increased the number and weight of tomatoes produced per plant. The increase in harvested weight (grams) was significant as determined by p-value (shown). N=8.

2021 STUDY DISCUSSION
There was a significant effect on increasing tomato production per plant by applying Vitazyme on leaves and soil surface, as recommended by the manufacturer (Vital Earth Resources, Inc.). This study was conducted independently and it needs to be repeated to confirm our findings. Vitazyme was used as a supplement to the conventional nutrient program. Its impact on fruit production was through improving plant performance beyond the standard grower’s program. Further studies are required to assess whether the amounts of synthetic nutrient inputs can be reduced while maintaining the higher fruit production by Vitazyme. Plant growth and development relies on the availability of nutrients and plant’s internal hormonal pathways regulating plant performance in its given environment. We expect that the promotion of fruit production through Vitazyme was achieved by stimulating plant growth through hormonal pathways. According to the manufacturer, application of Vitazyme delivers vitamins, enzymes and plant growth stimulators including brassinosteroids. In a recent whole genome-wide gene-expression profiling of the effects of brassinosteroids (BR) on early vegetative development of soybean, it was reported that BR regulates a broad range of cellular and biological processes and networks with other plants.

Vitazyme Increased Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum) Fruit Production
COLLABORATIVE STUDIES
QUANTITY OF HARVESTED TOMATOS WERE OVER 50% GREATER WHEN USING VITAZYME PRODUCTS COMPARED TO THE CONTROL GROUP.
Vitazyme is a liquid biostimulant consisting of vitamins, enzymes and other growth stimulating components. This study was conducted in part to determine the mechanisms involved in Vitazyme activity. Greenhouse grown tomatoes. treated with Vitazyme produced more fruit over multiple harvests. Preliminary data shows increase in tomato lycopene and beta-carotene levels. Work was performed by i-Cultiver, Inc., which provides independent research and consultation services to agriculture, food and forestry industries.
